New year, New You, New Attitude

Updated: Jun 17, 2023

Don't spend too much time overthinking and analyzing. It's a new year! No new year resolution lists, no problem. Just get moving or you'll never get anything done!! Get on the self improvement wagon!

It's that time for making new year resolutions. Did you already make your list, or is it a carryover from 2020? Guess what? I'm not doing it anymore! No more lists to write, no more pressure to check things off the list! I'm just going to take on one measurable and achievable goal at a time and take it from there.

I just want to keep making progress, no matter how little. Progress is relative. It means getting better and better with every attempt. If you are better at something than you were the last time you did it, then you’re making progress.

Here's my top priority at this time. I'm going to commit to take the time to learn something new that makes my life better. I will also work to improve my craft/crafts that I have already been blessed with. I will not learn the "tricks". To me learning the "tricks" of the trade means cheating. I'd rather learn the "ropes" of the trade and master them.

Big difference! Tricks can fail you, but when you know, you know.

I will also share my knowledge, experience and skills with as many people as possible through this blog, focusing on skills acquisition, life improvement and self improvement.

Learn and Improve your life skills

I'm sure you've heard that knowledge gained will always be yours.

No one can take it away from you. I am an avid learner and lifelong student and so I am always looking for opportunities to acquire new skills or get better at what I already know. It never hurts to learn something new. You’ll be surprised how that course you casually took could spark something within you that you never knew you had.

Knowledge is power.

When was the last time you learned something new?

Did you have to stop and ponder to answer this question?

Then maybe it’s time to take up another challenge.

It’s not too late to start investing in yourself.

What will you be learning?

Not sure? That's okay. You don't need to have it all figured out. We are here to help!

Start somewhere. Feel free to try something else until you find what works for you. Get out of your comfort zone. Afraid of making mistakes? Who doesn't make mistakes? Unless you are God, and I know for sure I'm not.

If you haven’t made mistakes lately, then you’re not challenging yourself enough. Many great discoveries were born out of mistakes. If you do make a mistake, embrace it, take advantage of it and turn it into a discovery. Use it as a stepping stone to improve and elevate your life!

Please share your learning experience or goals with us using #learnsomethingnew2021

Let's all improve together and hold each other accountable!!
